Print & artwork

I started my design career managing artwork production for Sainsbury's non-food packaging, where I was lucky enough to receive excellent training in the world of print & artwork. Since then, I've worked on many complex print projects (packaging, POS, collateral, large format, publishing), designing artwork files, assigning print specifications, coordinating with print suppliers and quality controlling production. As a freelancer, I have provided a Creative Artwork service for several artwork agencies and retailers, on both print and digital. I'm very comfortable dealing with cutter guides and I'm familiar with Esko workflow.

I worked for Marks R5 on a Europe-wide project for Scotts gardenware. As well as creative, guidelines and adaptation, I was tasked with providing recommended print specifications in order to achieve the best value-for-money results.
When working for Whittard, I was regularly responsible for designing the products and packaging, but also designing and setting up the artwork files and print specifications. Many of the formats were interesting materials, capable of amazing special finishes. 
I was also responsible for setting colour standards and approval procedures, including signing off the final print on press, often abroad.
